A collection of works by painter nakaban, who has long depicted landscapes as if traveling through them, with journey and memory as central themes.
This book gathers a series of paintings in which nakaban travels through and records Harlowe Mere, a fictional town created by weaving together memory and imagination.
The journey begins at a station—
the painter wanders through an empty town.
Like the wind. Like a ghost.
In search not of decisive moments, but of everyday streets as they are.
No people are depicted, yet the scenes feel warm.
It is an unfamiliar town, and yet somehow nostalgic.
Guided by a map, let us walk through it together with the painter.
